Don't forget to calibrate your device's compass sensors
Your device may or may not has its sensors calibrated.
Check if your device is calibrated, following the intructions below.
- In android devices generally, move your phone in the air in a way like you
are drawing number 8 in the air, for three to four times.
Repeat this movement to all the three directions of space (x, y, z axes).
- In Samsung devices, call *#0*#
In the menu that shows up, press the "sensors" button.
In the magnetic (or compass) field, a number between 0 and 3 is shown.
If the number is 3, then your device is already calibrated, else tilt
your phone in several directions until number 3 is shown up.
